Happy Homemaker Monday

  Happy Monday afternoon!
I'm so off schedule.  The children were out of town last week, so we spent a lot of late nights watching television and I spent a lot of mornings sleeping in!  Now they are home and I should be back on schedule, but after a very busy week last week and an extremely busy weekend, we are killed!  We had a wedding to attend on Friday, then sadly we had a funeral on Sunday, as well as a church event Sunday evening.  It has been very busy and chaotic and an emotional roller coaster lately, so I'm in desperate need of a slow week!  Hopefully after soccer practice this evening we can rest and relax on Tuesday,  my husband is on a break from school this week and his honey do list is a mile long!  So hopefully we can staycation just a little bit!
It's been a minute since I've blogged at all.  I have a lot to catch up on with some of you that I keep up with even when I'm not actively blogging, so I'm excited to join this linky party today and see how all of you are doing!  I think about ya'll even when I'm not here, so know that!
Its GORGEOUS today.  My children are outside trying to begin to incorporate our new chicks into the coop now that they are rounding eight weeks of life they are coop ready, and ready to meet the old guard!  It's quiet and I'm ready to sit down and share with you lovely ladies today! Linking up with Sandra from Diary of a Stay at Home Mom

*** The Weather ***
This week looks warm and beautiful! In the 80s!  We are working on sealing some places on the pool, we took it down last year and there are a few holes.  I want to try and make it last one more summer since we are planning a wedding, but we will definitely have to replace it next fall.  I'ts a nice day to be out and about!

*** Right now I am ***

Enjoying the quiet, enjoying my tea my husband brought from Tarboro this morning, and excited to be sharing again in this linky party!

*** Thinking and pondering ***
As I said its been awhile since I've shared!  I have actually started editing photos again and my daughters prom photos are so ready for me to dive back into them this afternoon!  My oldest daughter is getting married this September, so today I'm planning to work on putting her together a little planner so she can get it this weekend when shes home to plan!  I feel like I overhwhelm her with all of my ideas.  She's not a planner, and I am, so I hope to write it all down so we can have our thoughts organized when we sit down with the wedding planner next weekend!

*** How I am feeling ***
Very tired.  I need to start taking care of myself again.  I need to get back on track with my diet and exercise.  I see my doctor for a follow up next week, so I'll see the resuts of my bloodwork.  Is anyone interested in an accountability group for weekly health 'weigh ins'?  I need to start something....

*** On the breakfast plate ***
Atkins shake, tea

*** On the lunch plate ***
Not sure yet, something simple!

*** On the dinner plate ***
Tacos I'm thinking.

*** On the menu ***
Again, not getting my life together means I haven't done any meal planning yet!  I need to get it into gear!

*** What I am wearing ***
Black t, flowy printed shorts from AE.

*** On my reading pile ***
Thritbooks says that my books will be delivered today!  I'm excited to start Stranger from the Sea by Winston Graham after finishing the Poldark tv series for the second time.

*** On my TV this week ***
Re-watching Hart of Dixie while working out in the mornings.  Of course, When Calls the Heart!  OHHH I'm loving this Elizabeth/Nathan storyline.  Team Nathan!

*** Looking around the house ***
I've enjoyed very much my roomba vaccume for years, Rosie is tried and true.  Recently we invested in the braava jet mop (his name is Jarvis)  Ya'll.  Best investment EVER.  My floors look incredible and we ran them both while we were gone yesterday.  You would think I stayed home to sweep and mop.  LOVE both of them.  The laundry is another story.  Yikes.  Laundry today or naked tomorrow.

*** To do list ***
  Finish editing prom photos
  Meal plan
Work on Lacey's wedding planner binder
  Laundry!
work on an email for the homeschool group we are planning for next fall!
Check language art for days lol

*** From the camera ***

What's Up Wednesday

    Hey guys!!
So this is kind of a first blog post since I decided to completely re-vamp my blog!  I have a new blog, a new url, and even a knew design!  I'm very excited for all things new!  Yet with most new things, I really didn't know how to begin?  Do you start with a long post about why you decided to start over?  Do you explain 'where you've been' and why you've been away for so long?  Do you give an account of what you're hoping to accomplish with the blog or where you want it to go this time around?  I have really been tossing that idea around in my head for sometime, and then today I just clicked on my reading list.  One of my favorite blogs, The Other Side of the Road had a post called "What's up Wednesday"  So I knew that was the perfect way to start. :)  So here we go, no explanation, lets just jump in head first!  I'm so ready to begin again and become a member of the blogging community again!  So here goes!

WHAT WE'RE EATING THIS WEEK
Monday we just returned from our trip to the mountains and my daughters prom weekend.  Hubby and I were alone last week, and lets be honest, if it's just two people sometimes its just as inexpensive to eat out, So we spent a lot of time eating out, and it was a nice change!  However, we are ready for cooking at home, which is what we usually do!  So this week we have already had chicken pie, tonight is Tacos, tomorrow chicken and gravy, we have a wedding on Saturday so we will have dinner there, and on Sunday we are cooking hotdogs!  We've also fallen in love with edamame, so we will have that and some fresh green beans as a side with lots of those dishes!

WHAT I'M REMINISCING ABOUT

My daughter went to prom this weekend with my niece.  They have always been more like cousins than friends.  It's so hard to believe how fast these girls have grown up, and how beautiful they are!  I'm so glad they are best friends, and so thankful they have eachother!

7 years doesn't seem that long ago...

WHAT I'M LOVING

We have had some family time since visiting the mountains!  Since we are about four hours away from them, time together is always a blessing!

We had prom dinner with my sweet Daddy, and its always a blessing to see my Lacey!

It's always fun at my sisters house with all of her kiddos!  Talk about a big cousin crew!

We are also loving Upward Soccer!  Our church is hosting this year and Sawyer is loving it!

And THESE!  These cute berry bowls came from Dollar General!  Aren't they adorable???

WHAT WE'VE BEEN UP TO

Prom!  As you can see!  Upward, as I also shared, and I didn't mention since I haven't been blogging that my oldest daughter got engaged last month!  So we have been doing tons of wedding planning!

WHAT I'M DREADING
The first week in May is crazy...  I have two doctors appointments, one being an ent appointment since my hearing in my right ear has significantly decreased over the last two years and I'm anxious to see what's going on.  My kids also have dental appointments that week as well, so it will be rush rush!  However the second week in May my sweet boy turns 15, so that will be really special.  So if I can make it through week one I'll be golden lol!

WHAT I'M WORKING ON

I have SO many ideas about this new blog!  Now I just have to take some time to plan it!

WHAT I'M EXCITED ABOUT

My hubby has a two week break from school, and although this week has been busy especially with catching up on ministry events, we hope next week we might slip away to the coast for a day.  I could really use a day on the beach!

WHAT I'M WATCHING

Stephen and I just finished re-watching the Poldark series!  I LOVE Poldark!  The fourth season is where the show diverged from the book and started something different, so I ordered The Stranger from the Sea so I could finish the series up!  I'm also rewatching Hart of Dixie while walking on the treadmill in the mornings.  Also, When Calls the Heart!!!!  I'M LOVING the Nathan/Elizabeth storyline, I was always, ALWAYS team Nathan!

WHAT I'M READING
When we Were Young by Karen Kingsbury, its so good so far!

WHAT I'M LISTENING TO

I have two teenagers.  I never get to pick the music.  Lately they've been obsessed with Circle in the Sand by Belinda Carlisle lol, so that's all I ever hear hahaha!

WHAT I'M WEARING

Some American eagle green shorts and an old tshirt!  I have to get ready for church soon lol!

WHAT WE'RE DOING THIS WEEKEND

We have a wedding with some friend and church members on Friday evening.  Saturday I just planned a lunch date with my sweet hubby, I'm excited for that!

WHAT I'M LOOKING FORWARD TO NEXT MONTH

Hudson's birthday!  Visiting Family, meeting my daughters future in laws and hopefully doing her engagement photos!

WHAT ELSE IS NEW

I think I've about covered it!  Besides my blog!  I hope some of you will follow and comment your blog so I can follow you as well!  I would LOVE to make some new blog friends!

WHAT AMAZON PURCHASE I'M LOVING

I've been working on trying to find more non-toxic products, including cleaning products, and I'm LOVING this Puracy multi-purpose cleaner! It works GREAT, smells amazing, and best of all, is non-toxic and affordable!

I desperately needed some kahkki cropped pants to wear to church this spring, so I ordered these on a whim since its easy to return to Amazon.  They were also around $22 which is very affordable.  I LOVED them so much I bought a second pair in Navy Blue!

As I mentioned, we are in the transition of finding some clean products to our home, which
is included in any of our scent products.  I left Scentsy late last year, which I fully intend to write a blog post about soon (follow me so you can find that soon!) So I've been looking for an alternative for awhile....

These cute little wax bears come in a three pack of coastal scents, Coastal Tide, Pineapple Mango and Pina Colada!    Not only are they a beautiful scent for my warmers, they also are affordable ($19 for a three pack!) and they smell amazing!  I'm excited to have found these little bears!  As an added bonus they are made here in North Carolina. :)  Even better, all the best things come from NC!

Thanks so much for sharing this week, and I cant' wait to meet some new blog friends to follow!
